Freaks High: The first day.

Alicia walks along with the group, her hair covering one eye and hands in her hoodie pockets with a cord to an earbud trailing up to one ear. "Thanks." Is all she drones out as she accompanies the group.

Hailey, on the other hand, is humming to herself swaying back and forth, "I'm sure we will all do fine!"

Sofi snickered, snidely commenting "It's probably so tough because she's so old, she's actually lived through it." Sofi chortled at her own cleverness, throwing some jerky into her pointy maw.

Kari gave a light stretch before looking at the group. Normally she was good at History, but it seemed like Caitlyn was going to give her a run for her money. So she made a mental note to study. "Well, practice makes perfect. I could host a study session at my place if anyone's okay with a studio apartment."

Gavin shrugs, "I'll help you newbies out the best I can, you'll get the hang of the teachers and how the operate."

Kari gave a nod before looking at the time. "So, would anyone like to hang out for a bit? Even though studying is over, we could still get to know eachother more."

"Eh studyings for nerds anyway. Cmon, let's have some fun! The nights still young!" Now that the sun had gone down, her jacket had been tied around her waist, revealing her cotton-candy blue tank top. Ghouls being nocturnal, she felt energized and awake now, and it definetly showed.

Gavin shrugs, "I'm game. I've got an xbox at my place?

"Cool. Whatcha got on it? Ooh do you have halo? I've never played halo before. All i had was a playstation." She said, stretching her arms as she then declared "I'm hungry."

Alicia shrugs, "No offense, but while I am a creature of the night, I prefer to spend them alone."

"Well you are no fun, i'd totally love to hang out, and eat!" Hailey says

Kari nodded. "I could also use a good meal...how about we get some pizzas and decide on a spot?"

Kari smiled gently before shrugging on her black jacket, it was a tad chilly so she brought it along just to be safe.

Gavin chuckles, "Im fine with that, and yeah I've got Halo and a few other games."

The group passes under an overpass bridge, and as they make it about half way, three figures turn the corners from the other side and block the groups path, all three wearing white hooded robes that cover their entire bodys, and face masks.

This certainly wasn't normal. It's not even that they were people stepping around a corner at night. It wasn't even that they were hiding their faces.

It was the pure white robes and masks that put sofi on edge.

"Uhh...can we....help you?" She said slowly, feeling nervous, her hands twitching in nervous expectation.

Alicia raises up an eyebrow as she stops, "A little early for Halloween, or does this town have an above average amount of zealot catholics?"

Hailey just waves at them, "Hi!"

Kari gave a small glance at the hooded members but she also didn't talk to them. Instead she continued on her way quietly, though a part of her had a bad feeling about who they were. After all, there was no reason to have something like that on at a school.

The three people block the groups way, the two on the sides drawing curved daggers from their robes as the middle person speaks, "Brothers, today we purge these freaks from our world. Today we will make a stand against their kind, and show them that we will not accept monsters into our midst! Repetimus nostra mundo!" He says and shouts that last phrase, before he himself draws a dagger and the three charge the group.

Gavin blinks at all this, then after looking around he runs to the side and shouts, "This way!" As he is moving for a maintenance door over to the left.

Sofis eyes went wide, her instincts apparently serving her well. Her heart picked up. A tingle went through her body as her adrenaline shot up.

No. Please no. Not here. Not in front of them.

So she booked it, running towards the room with gavin, clutching at her chest as she tried to breathe, tried to calm herself. Don't lose control, sofi. Don't lose control.

Alicia blinked, then grabbed Haileys arm and pull her along towards the room

Hailey let out a surprised sound as she was tugged along.

Kari's eyes widened as she saw the knives, and like the rest, she took off running. Her heart began to race at the thought of them catch her.

Gavin jerks the door open, and once everyone is inside her slams it shut and jerks the handle into the locked position.

Inside is a simple maintenance closet with several shelves and tables containing tools like hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and other sorts. But beyond all that, there is no other way out, and the sounds of those three lunatics trying to break down the door...

Sofi went to the farthest corner she possibly could, trying to keep her distance as far as she could from everyone else. She clutched at her heart, which was going crazy. She was breathing fast, her stomach growling loudly.

The danger of the situation was making her baser instincts come to surface. She wasn't about to make any sort of plans herself: Right now she had to focus on not going berserk!
